In November 2013, at the age of 41, I had what doctor’s believed was two TIA strokes within a two week time period. My entire right side lost feeling, I had difficulty walking, speaking, and comprehending. I also began having migraines for the first time in my life. After many tests, it was found I was not having TIA’s instead I was diagnosed as having Hemiplegic Migraines. I was unable to work, read a book, and function most days. My thought clarity was diminished; I couldn’t remember simple words and wanted to give up many days. For a year and a half I had a headache every day, with intermittent migraines. Some which lasted for two weeks.
I was given a gamut of medications, tried multiple over the counter medications and homeopathic concoctions, visited a chiropractor, and received no relief. In January 2015, I began receiving Botox injections, 36 in the face, head and neck. These took the edge off but did not take away the painful headaches.
A friend of mine had recommended Dr. Blom at Christmas time and I just assumed he was another Chiropractor, from which I’d spend money and find no relief. My friend reminded me again in February to see Dr. Blom. In March I finally decided I could not take any more and made an appointment to see him.
After one adjustment my daily headaches were gone. I have not had a migraine in a year! What I received from Dr. Blom was my life back. I’m back to work, school, and living my life as usual. I appreciate his knowledge, willingness to explain his treatment, and only adjust when necessary. He has truly changed my life!
